The SAT550 when connected via a DTA550 Data Terminal Adapter to a WindowsTM compatible PC allows users to access the Internet and office networks via the Globalstar Data everywhere service by dialing 0420 10 10 10 when accessing the internet, Globalstar's Data everywhere service provides an effective data speed of up to 38.4kbps, similar to standard fixed line, dial up DTA550 DATA TERMINAL modem speeds. $1,200 Government Satellite Phone Subsidy Before buying a Satellite mobile phone, you should verify your eligibility for a Satellite Mobile Phone Subsidy. DATA Terminal Adapter An easy to use DTA data terminal adapter connects the phone directly to a Windows compatible computer allowing users to connect to the internet and office networks on GSM and Satellite connected calls. SAT550X MARINE-KIT The SAT550X Marine kit is a compact, economical and easy to use Satellite and GSM telephone system which is specifically designed for use on sea going vessels of all sizes. The SAT550X will operate at sea up to 200 nautical miles off shore switching if desired to the GSM cellular telephone network when close to the coast. For use on land the SAT550 can be unclipped and carried as a portable unit. In Car Charger SAT551 Hands-free Carkit The SAT551 and the SAT551DE (data enabled) hands free Car kit enables hands free communications while you are inside a vehicle. The hands free car kit cradle is connected to a separately mounted speaker, microphone and externally mounted antennas. Simply remove the phone from its cradle when outside your vehicle to enjoy the convenience of a hand held phone that keeps you in touch wherever life takes you.
